Natalia Juristo - Computing School at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), Spain


Natalia Juristo Dr. Natalia Juristo is full professor of software engineering with the Computing School at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) in Spain. She has been the Director of the UPM MSc in Software Engineering for 10 years.
Related to Empirical Software Engineering, she is co-author of the book Basics of Software Engineering Experimentation published in 2001 by Kluwer and has been co-editor of the book Lecture Notes on Empirical Software Engineering. She is member of the Journal of Empirial Software Engineering Editorial Board. Natalia has served in the International Syposium of Empirial Software Engineering (ISESE) since its foundation and she keeps on being part of the Program Committee of the new conference borned from the join of ISESE and Metrics: International Symposium on Empirical SE and Measurement (ESEM). She was Program Chair of ISESE04 andhas been General Chair for ESEM07.
Related to other topics of SE, she has been member of IEEE Software Editorial Board and the Journal of SE and KE. Natalia has served in several Program Committees (ICSE, RE, etc.), has been Program Chair for SEKE97 and General Chair for SNPD02 and SEKE0. Prof. Juristo has been Key Speaker for CSEET03 and ESELAW04.
Natalia has a B.S. and a Ph.D. in Computing from UPM. She has been fellow of the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland, and staff of the European Space Agency (ESA) in Italy. Back in 1992, she was resident affiliate of the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University (USA).
