New Authorization Required for Travel to the United States
All nationals and citizens of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries who plan to travel to the U.S. for temporary business or pleasure for 90 days or less will be required by law to obtain travel authorization prior to initiating travel to the United States. This authorization can be obtained online through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), a free Internet application administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland security. Travelers from countries not in the VWP are still required to obtain a Visa upon entry into the United States. Additional information.

ESEM 2009 will be held at the Hilton Walt Disney World Hotel in Lake Buena Vista, FL. The hotel is in a central location, within easy walking distance of Downtown Disney.

Booking Reservations
All reservations can be made by telephone (+1 800 782 4414) or online (see instructions below). Be sure to mention ESEM in your reservation. The reservation cut-off date will be 11 September 2009 at 5:00 p.m Eastern Time. Reservations received after this date will be accepted by the hotel on a space-available basis at the conference rates.To book your reservation online, follow these instructions:
- Go to the group block reservation page. For "group code", enter IES.
- Select the dates you wish to stay. Please note that the dates must be within the time range Oct 9-Oct 19 to attain the group rate. Note: Group code may not be accepted if reservation contains nights outside the designated group dates. We reccommend calling (+1 800 782 4414) to confirm your reservation and rates.
The hotel's check-in time is 3:00 p.m. The hotel's check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Guests are permitted to check in earlier or check out later subject to room availability.
Note: These rates are exclusive of applicable sales/room tax, currently 12.5 percent. The above special rates will apply at least three (3) days prior to and three (3) days after the conference dates based on availability of traditional rooms to accommodate those who wish to extend their visits. Should any discounted weekend rates be offered the weekend prior to the meeting or immediately following the conference, the attendees will be eligible for these rates on Friday and Saturday.

The Hilton is a full-featured resort including amenities such as business center, printer, video phone, express mail, children's activities, babysitting service, Disney character breakfast, fitness room, outdoor jogging trail, barber shop, tour desk, golf tee times, heated pool, and an ATM.
